What to Expect from Students Between Lessons
Daily practice is essential to reinforce lesson material and ensure steady progress.
-
Prepared lessons are much more valuable and enjoyable for student and teacher.
-
Students are expected to complete everything listed on their practice sheet, including:
-
Assigned pieces
-
Technique exercises
-
Theory work
-
-
A minimum of 3 quality practice sessions per week is required to maintain studio enrollment.
-
Students must record their weekly practice to help track progress and identify areas needing improvement.
-
Participation in semi-annual recitals and studio events is expected.

Weekly Attendance, Missed Lessons,
Make-Ups and Flex Weeks
-
Your student's lesson time is reserved exclusively for them each week.
-
Missed lessons will not be refunded or rescheduled. However, you may arrange a swap with another student if needed. See FLEX WEEKS:
-
Please provide advance notice for absences as a courtesy.
-
FLEX WEEKS:
-
To support a consistent and sustainable studio schedule, two Flex Weeks are built into the academic year.
-
Flex Weeks may be used for teacher illness, travel, or other necessary circumstances. Because these weeks are already included in the annual calendar, all students will still receive their full allotment of lessons.
-
No make-ups or refunds are provided for lessons canceled during Flex Weeks.
-
-
Your tuition covers more than just lesson time. For more details, read: Why I Don't Do Make-Up Lessons
